Responsibilities
Ms. Townley is one of of our three, front-line staff that is responsible for providing advising support to the undergraduate business students. As Enrollment Services Assistant, she processes course substitutions, internal change majors, internal change minors, force-adds, late withdrawals, overloads, and provides assistance to students by answering questions about their DARs, transcript analysis, and upper division clearance for Pamplin students. Ms. Townley is also responsible for the management of the Freshman and Transfer Merit Scholarship Program.
Biography
Ms. Townley, who prefers to be called Barbara, is a Giles County native. After graduating from Giles High School, she attended New River Community College. Barbara has been employed at Virginia Tech for twenty-one years. Barbara considers shopping to be her favorite hobby. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, and watching I Love Lucy re-runs and football. Barbara currently resides in Ripplemead, Virginia.
