The faculty and staff of the Pamplin College of Business extend a warm welcome to you as a new member of the college. We hope that you will find your experience as a Pamplin student a rewarding one. We look forward to meeting you at orientation this summer.

Vital Information

The following information is vital to your transition to the Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech.

• Learn about the Curriculum of Liberal Education (CLE) at Virginia Tech. Students will automatically be enrolled in some of the CLE courses starting their first semester.
• Become familiar with the Pamplin College of Business curriculum.
• Understand FERPA - Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974.
• Learn more about Academic Policies at Virginia Tech.

Even if you are unable to attend orientation, there are items that must be completed this spring.

1. If you have not already done so, create a PID.

2. Complete Immunization History requirements.

3. Sign up for Orientation using the exact major printed on your admission letter.

4. Review the list of items you will need to bring with you at your summer orientation session.

5. Students are requested to wear their name badges during their orientation session.

6. All students are required to have a laptop. Please check the computer requirements before purchasing your computer.
